My cat is giving my left leg a massage. I think she knows it's been a rough year on the corporate front. A lot of changes mean a lot of mental exercises. And goodness knows we all need a vacation, which is why I'll be spending a week in New York, mid-November.
My friend Duane is leaving for Bangkok this Saturday. This Saturday, for a week. I am so excited for him, but at the same time. . . I am so stinkin' jealous.

i've been to new york only once before in 2005. i had a blast. on the other hand, my time was spent in Manhattan. it really felt like disneyland to me. in a good way.
i went to my first red carpet last night. it was underwhelming.
enjoy your trip.
I actually prefer Brooklyn - there's still a lot of people, but it feels more like a city, where in a way you can let your hair down and be real. Just walking down the street in Greenpoint on Bedford is fun. Mm, near the vicinity was where I had my first bialy, with pumpkin spice coffee My brother's a local, so it's convenient in that it can feel like home.
P.S. While not big on Manhattan, I love, love Disneyland. You shouldn't've even mentioned that. ;) Maybe you'll venture to NY again some day.
